Call for Proposals
In the Middle of it all: Moving English from the Margins of Higher Education
Join us in the first state as we discuss the state of English. Cultural changes have presented issues about the role that English plays in education.
We welcome varied insights into the position that English currently holds. We would also like to hear ideas about how English is positioned within the institution and the perceptions of how students and faculty impact practice.
Traditional proposals will be accepted, but non-traditional proposals and poster session proposals are also welcomed. Presentations should focus on an aspect of the TYCA purpose: “the intellectual and pedagogical growth of English teachers and administrators in the two-year college throughout the northeast region”
Proposal Format Options
- 25 minute talk, discussion, or workshop followed by questions and answers
- 60 minute full-panel discussion of groups of two or more followed by questions and answers.
- Poster Sessions to visually document your research and best practices.
*Presentations may be combined with other proposals by the program planning committee*
Proposals should be submitted by May 31, 2017.
Presenters will be notified by June 30,2017 and must register for the conference by September 15, 2017.
Full submission instructions can be found and proposals submitted at on our proposal submission form.
